I tested out my new Sony T1 micro mini camera's fireworks mode this past weekend. It picked up kind of an interesting shot as the wife and I where enjoying cocktails on the balcony (at the Boardwalk Resort, Disney) overlooking the fireworks across the road. Sorry for the blurry "Eiffel Tower" (the fireworks where over Epcot) but I did say "cocktails", right?

PS: Not bad for a small "point-and-shoot" camera

I got this from my little Fuji Finepix 4700 a couple of years ago - came out nicely

I'm not too happy with my T1 - many pics come out blurred, I keep changing the focusing settings but can't seem to improve it. Red eye is bad as well, with or without the reduction feature.

Is it best to leave it all on auto setting?

I preffered my old P5, pictures just seemed generally better.

Fireworks post

Got no fireworks setting on mine, but took these using 'night scene' - was quite pleased with the result.
We were at a BSO concert with fireworks, water fountains and lasers. I tried to capture them all while sitting perfectly still!!

What say you?

We are all quite well... Just waiting to see what Ivan will do...

RE: The T1. Yes, it does not take absolutely fantastic pictures (for that we use the wife's big Sony). However, if you want a camera that you can, literally, take everywhere (car shows while you are walking around, Disney, etc) then it is quite good. 5 megapixel from something that size is just phenomenal IMHO... (I leave it on auto most of the time).
