Hi all. I'm going to replace the front amber units with clear using the trusted palm of the hand method. I am unsure which adhesive to use for bonding the new ones in, does anyone have any experience/advice on this? Car is a mk1. Cheers

Sikaflex 221 available from boat chandleries, the internet and ebay.

Nasty black/white stuff but does a great job. Do make sure you wear gloves as it's a bugger to get off.

I didnt glue it in, i use only an O-ring, works perfect since 3 years,
sits tight and easy to get out if required (for properly cleaning)!

Does the o-ring go around the glass on the outside of the bodywork?

Must be a oring dia around 2 or 3mm( can be a longeer one, just cut him for correct dia and then glue both side together). Then just stretch it over from bottom side of indicator.
When you mount indicator the oring cannot leave its place.
