Had a tw@t in BMW 5 ser back into my car today this is the second BMW car park "stern to stern" this year
both time my car was driver-less and the BMW was reversing back slowly but at a slight angle
Not sure if its the shape of the Tuscan rear end or a fiber glass thing
but have now got to the point were i dont go in double length spaces in public car parks
people actually rely on this crap to park there cars

It would be interesting to experiment with a car with parking sensors and a TVR. Do the parking sensors pickup a reflection from the body or the fuel tank/rear axle/chassis? If it's the metal work would a metal (tin foil???) lining at the rear of the boot help?

Maybe it's the BMW with the problem. The rear parking sensors are noticeably worse on my wife's current one series than on the Range Rover Sport we just swapped for it.
Pants German engineering!!

Same happened to me. Guy backed into my front end and his rear bumper was about six inches overlapping my front end.
I got out and told him he had hit my car and he thought I was completely stupid as he had "parking sensors".

Some people seem to forget these are aids, not a replacement for their eyes and brains...

Ah, but I forget, that requires common sense, which requires a brain...

Yes, my bad.

It's got feck all to do with the shape and the fact it's fiberglass, we test them at work using a foam mat

Clearly both drivers were arses

the only parking sensor i use is the dirty great towbar on my Range rover for when some tt boxes me in, when im in the TVR i always try and park away from other drivers and stradle two spaces, i know this pisses people off but better then some dozy fker opening their door on me
