As a daily driver, only driven the 40 odd miles home, combination of dual carriageway and a few twisties, but what a great little car Thoroughly impressed, and liking it lots, needs a bit of paintwork touching up and the 17" Fox alloys refurbing but otherwise brill, love the power delivery

Prepare for lots of comments about them being lardy and wobbly. They'll be right. That was cured on mine by a set of Koni adjustables and Eibach ARB's. From factory they're definitely set up as cruisers rather than hot hatches.

I miss my VR. Lovely bit of kit.

Have you got an induction kit? IMO that's the best upgrade you can do. The noise is fantastic!

Hi Matt, only picked the car up today, from a dealer, and the only mods I know of is the 17" Fox 'racing' wheels, after market exhaust system, and she's been lowered 30mm... All looks standard under the bonnet, certainly no aftermarket induction system... I'd read up on the MkIII's being a bit wobbly, but in the short time I drove her she feels pretty planted....

I've got a Corrado VR6 and I think the engine still stands up today.. relatively grunty, has good top speed, sounds fantastic and will easily return mid 30's on a run - possibly more if you're very careful. As has been said get an induction kit (pay up for a BMC CDA) and prepare to grin like a complete idiot - the noise is hilarious

If you feel like spending some pennies, Schimmel Performance 263 cams and a remap at Stealth Racing (which will set you back a few quid) liberate a good few ponies out of the engine and will also vastly improve all round drivability.

I think it needs raised just a touch, and those awful stickers have to go, but other than that it looks ace. Just don't ruin it with that "Dirty Dub" st.

Have to question the ride height, take your comment on raising it totally onboard I've seen this with many other cars, particularly the toy in my garage , PO's put on the bigger diameter wheels, which look great, and is often done to allow bigger diameter front discs to be fitted, but the tyres end up like rubber bands and have an adverse effect on both ride comfort and handling.

Stickers will be gone tomorrow Don't understand 'Dirty Dub' though
