Hi guys

I recently updated my old (6 years old!)LG lcd tv for a samsung LED 46" ES6900 Series 6 smart tv which i'm over the moon with, such a huge difference to my old one!

To sharpen up the house i decided to flush mount the tv,sky box and ps3 in the corner of the room which has turned out great BUT.....I didn't take into account the speakers on the new tv are in the back! so now the sound sounds muffled and echoed when the tv is flush with the wall... the tv is mounted on a scissor wall mount with a 1/2" gap from wall to tv.

So now i'm thinking a sound bar would be a good idea to achieve better sound? i've been looking at the samsung HWE450 any views on it?

Also Would i be able to cut of the tv sound and just use the sound bar so i don't get any muffled sound from the tv and would i be able to use just the tv remote to control the sound bar?

sorry for the novice questions!

Thanks in advance

On my Panasonic set there is a setting if the TV is to be mounted within 30cm of the wall and adjusts the sound to compensate. There may be something similar on your set.

I also have a recent model 42" LCD/LED Panasonic TV, but the sound settings don't make that much difference. I respectfully suggest the Samsung sound bar is good...but IMHO the Yamaha ones are better. I use one with a sub-woofer and the sound produced is incomparably better than that from the TV.
Good luck!
