400 miles GT2 today

Made it to Ghent through sun, rain, snow. I know I keep going on about GT2s but today it's been utterly sublime in all conditions including 175mph before runnig up to traffic but much 130-160mph work where it's super responsive.
Enjoying the sweeping cornering at three figures, the stability, the grunt.
Factory tour really enjoyable though sad to have it confirmed that the dry sump engine production line is now demolished and doing something else...

What's the word to describe the feeling of misery when you reach the shores of the UK again with it's rubbish road surfaces and shambolic driving standards and of course the pre-historic speed limits for the times the above two don't exist?
Whatever it is I can feel it now, and I'm sure my trusty steed does too.

It's called home. Whatever it is I can feel it now, and I'm sure my trusty steed does too.

If you don't like it Andy (and judging by some of your posts, it's clear you don't) there's nothing whatsoever to stop you emigrating. I suspect you'll find the grass isn't as green as it looks in Johnny foreigner land though.
For all it's faults, this sceptered isle still has some superb deserted driving roads. You may need to head North of the M25 to find them though . . . .
You're quite right and there are only certain bits of the UK that pee me off, road policing and dumbassed application of our loony speed limits plus eejits causing unnecessary delay on the roads.
However I have lived abroad in the past, two years in the USA for example, and was itching to get back to our green and pleasant land.
I even pointed out to the lad as we went through one barren looking german/belgian/french village after another how uninviting these places looked compared to villages of the UK.
Some of the stunning areas surrounding Nurberg rather diluted that assertion but it still stands as a whole.
Anyhow back to work today, life's pretty good, considering. I have many hours of washing and polishing to look forward to on the weekend. The beast looks a bit like when he starship enterprise comes in for a refit
