Goodwood Festival of Speed 2005
Discussion
This is way way in advance, but I am thinking of going down the FOS next year.
I have been told that tickets and details come out in November but is it advisible to book as soon as I can?
Is it possible to camp very near to the Earl of March's estate?
and of course... is anyone else heading down?!?

I know you're talking about next year, but this year's event was superb. We went on the Friday (we normally go Saturday) and had a perfect day.
A superb location, superb cars, superb drivers, superb action and even better weather (I got a tan!!).
Oh, and I got to dribble over the DB9 on show
Lord March and his team make sure these events just get better and better. Here's to 2005!

stopped this year for 3 days camping on site, in a exhibitors area, which was great security and toilets/showers that were much better than Lemans. Recommended to save the aggro of getting in, only 10 mins walk to an entrance, and you can gate crash the after hours party on the grounds when the public has left

Is it possible to get tickets for the whole weekend?
Myself and a car full of mates are planning to go, but going all the way down for just the one day is a bit of a drag!
Has anyone ever tried to do the full 3 days and stayed in local accomodation (campsite etc)??
I went last year for the full 3 days and stayed in the Chichester college campus - was only £25 a night b and b....and had it's own bar. There's about 200 single rooms, and a load of FoS workers stayed there as well, so was interesting to chat to them.
Though I did think if I went again I'd camp next time...to save the queuing up to get in and out.

It is 24-26th June 2005.
Sure of that? AFAIK dates have not yet been set.
Those are the dates that the PR company involved in promoting the event are giving out:
www.keithprowse.co.uk
However, I have just checked their site and they do have a disclaimer saying that while every effort is made to get the dates right, they will not accept responsibility for changes, errors or cancellations. In light of this, it may be better to double check.
