Baggy Trousers

Thinking of getting some cycling trousers, something like the endura singletrack II or altura attack. I dont have the legs for lycra. I've got £90 of free evans vouchers so my choice is limited to what they stock.

Anyone got any advice or experience of these? The singletracks seem to get positive reviews.

Endura stuff is pretty good. I've got some Humvee 3/4s. Unfortunately, the clip in liners although ok at first seem to lose their shock absorption quite quickly. I now wear some decent cycle shorts under them.

And yes, I wear baggies on the road bike too (Humvees, and I guess Singletracks, aren't as baggy as some).

I have a set of altura's I got free with MBUK subscription. Came with Liners which aren't as good as the aftermarket ones I bought. The outer short's fabric is fine, mostly waterproof, dries quickly. Think you can buy them new though for £35ish. Better ones to be had but at a higher cost. I use them everyday for the commute to and from work and after 3 months they are looking a little tired at the fasteners though that could be just my gut straining to get out. Pockets work well (my phone doesn't fall out) and the velcro waist adjuster is good too.

I've got a pair of Endura trousers that i've had for years and very pleased with them.

I'm 5' 11" and the length is just right to go over the tops of my shoes to keep the water out, but my mate whos over 6' 3" the legs dont seem long enough.

I love them.
Last about 4,000 miles of riding - all weathers.
I think I have two pairs on the go.
You can add padded undershorts but get a bigger than normal size for that.

I popped to Evans in Reading and tried some endura singletracks, bought size large, fits perfect (I'm 32 waist). Just long enough in the leg, i'm about 5'10, if they were casual trousers i'd probably want them 1/2" longer but for cycling they should be spot on. Hope to try them on the bike sometime this week.
