As the title says....

It's at Silverstone this weekend apparently. I live fairly close and I hadn't heard of it until a few days ago (although I'm told it was held last year too) so I thought I'd bring it to the attention of others who may not have heard about it - it doesn't seem to have been promoted much (or perhaps I just read the wrong sort of magazines)!

Not going myself, but this should definitely be recommended to all those who are interested in starting racing. Loads of clubs who cater for budget racers.

Am going but don't know which day. Was supposed to be exhibiting our series, but that didn't come off. Perhaps this show and Autosport are too close together - do we even need both?

I'll be there on the metro cup stand-not sure which day yet.

I believe it was the same organiser behind the show in Coventry last year.

If the format of the show is as SmartVenom suggests, then this sounds like a very well timed show: if you're thinking about starting racing next season, Autosport is too late and possibly directed towards a slightly different market. Of course I'll have to reserve judgement until I've actually been to Silverstone! smile

If it's anything like last year at Ricoh, take a good book!

I went, very thin on content and not many people there on sat morning/ lunchtime. Had a good chat to the Monoposto guys and Hurley Engineering, though which made the trip worthwhile to me. At a fiver for entry as a comp licence holder it was fine, but I wouldn't want to pay much more.

The same chap runs "Kart Mania" and a Kit Car show, I think. maybe he should combime all 3 in to one?

I went on the Sunday and it was pretty quiet. All the demo/PX laps on the Stowe circuit had been canned and most of the garages were emtpy. There can't have been more than 20 cars in the visitors' car park. I did manage to get my medical done for my license renewal though - £35 cheaper than my GP too!

You were about the only visitor weren't you? Most of the time the exhibitors exceeded the spectators....

I didn't know about Martin's kit car show, but yes he does Kartmania which doesnt exactly burn up the turnstiles but is very focused and well respected.

I wasn't that impressed with the inside of The Wing, looks like they ran out of money after designing the exterior. Big clanger... The entrance door wasn't bg enough to get one of the major exhibitors' trailer through!
