Anyone got a Sony Bravia TV they've bought in the past couple of years?

The internet interface seems to only allow you onto iplayer & demand5 (lot of use that is!), anyone know if you can get onto other stations ie 4OD etc??

Cheers

Yep, mine does them all. Press home, select internet video and there are about 20 different ones to pick. Lots I have never heard of too!

Cheers. When did you get your TV, I think there's an issue backdating access, mine's a 2011.

I get the same as the op. Think mine is a 2011 too. I have not attempted to update the software recently though.

Can you get on the internet on your TV?

Got to say it's bl**dy annoying, I bought an internet TV so I could get access to the internet (oddly enough!) for the catch up services, but now it seems you need Sony to add their equivalent of an app, which they can't/wont do......

PITA

PS My software is the latest, checked with sony website, and video content is up to date....

Mine is from 2011 but it was a new model then. I get in internet browser on it as well as Sony's widgets to access the different online streaming services. They were on there from the begining.

Thanks for the reply, interesting.

What model do you have, mines a KDL40EX724, which I understand was a new model, and the 724 was only available at Sony stores too!

When you say you get access to Sony's widgets to access the different online streaming services can you access 4OD & ITV player too?

As per the latter reply mine has access to a load of ones I've never heard of nor want!

Seems Sony can't add netflix either!

Are you sure about that? I don't think ITV player or 4OD are available through Sony?

It's annoying though, because I can watch them on my Sony Playstation, but not my Sony TV!!

This is a real PITA!

I've finally got a response from Sony customer service in response to both 4OD/ITV player availability and netflix, it confirms what we know....

Anyone know how you get onto the internet as a whole from the TV, surely you could then navigate to 4OD/ITV player etc??

Cheers
