Is anybody else going to Oulton on Friday?

I'll be there in my Fury, which might be a bit interesting if the weather doesn't improve.

Yep , I'm going to be there in my Westfield , I'll try and look out for you and come and say hi , dont normally see many Fury's on trackdays ,
Been to the last few Trackaction-Online days at Oulton and they're always well run and good fun .

Didn't think the weather was looking that bad for Friday ?

Yeah, currently showing sunny but cold on the met office site. Still after the recent weather and the time of year I'm expecting the track will be pretty green.

That was a cracking day. Oulton puts the willys up me in the damp so I can't say I enjoyed the first session but the rest of the day was great. Maybe a few too many red flags but that wasn't unexpected.

Is it my magination or are there a lot more cars running slicks these days?

Big thanks to Steve and Phil. Steve do your brake lights work? I did the sighting laps and a few more during the day behind you and never saw them.

I had a great day. Will definitely be doing more days with those guys.

I was also surprised at the amount of people dropping it early on. Do they not understand slippery?!

Agree on lots running some form of slick or semi slick tyre. I'm just browsing for some myself now for my 182.

What car were you in?

I think more people dropped it after lunch. Must have been all the chips!

Had a great day. First track day in my own car. Tried to keep out of the way!

Was a good day, enjoyed the early session when it was slippy, also did my tuition lap while it was like this so that put me in good place for the rest of the day, think i did around 64 laps which I was pleased with.

I like the mid afternoon when it quietens out managed some really good clear consecutive laps.

It was certainly a different experience to Bedford and it suited my car more i thought.

Always surprising how tired I am after a track day.

To be honest I mostly just use engine braking on sighting laps so I don't cause the queue to compress too suddenly but, err, no, they don't laugh.

Thanks for the comments fellas. Despite quite a few drivers struggling to judge their pace properly we managed with almost no queueing all day which is always a good result and very much what we aim for.

By the time we were ready to call it for lack of light at 4.40 there was only one car left out there so hopefully everyone got all the track time they wanted cool

I was in the orange R1 engined Fury. I did 130 miles so probably around 50+ laps. Unfortunately I had to head home at 3pm due to other commitments just as there was starting to be lots of space on track. I'm running Toyo R888's (so semi-slick...ish) and shreded them trying to stay with the slick shod cars.
