I started 3 threads this eve.

Jap forum re the Nissan Juke Shiro we have just bought our daughter.

BMW forum re some brand new mats I found from my old 335i conv

Land Rover forum re a 9 inch crack in my Panoramic roof.

Replies/insults/banter!!! Zero.

On here the usual suspects (most my chums) will chat advise and insult in a typical bon homie atmosphere and all is well with the world.

I do sincerely believe this is the best forum on PH

In spite of your current ownership issue I think I'd be OK to say you'd be most welcome to join us on the 18th Dec at the Dog and Duck if you can put up with us all gloating about the delights of Aston ownership, Woollie banging on about the cost of oil and George getting to terms with Nickee999's wheels.

Agreed, but having been an owner and contributor for 4 years, I don't currently have anything new to bring to the party. I lurk and chip in occasionally but really what I meant was the indifference on other marque forums in comparison.

There was a period of a few months in between selling my v8v and buying my current db9v where I didn't own an aston and blooming well refused to leave the forum. it isn't about ownership, it's about sharing experiences, banter with like minded people and being able to help out where you can. on that basis, i see no reason why a currently non-owner should abstain from being a part of this forum. it isn't the metal that defines the brand, but the spirit; and the same goes for this forum.

I frequented these fine pages for a year before stepping into my car, I'm not sure I've seen anything car related come out of many of the usual suspects 80% banter, 20% Astons, on a good day.

Just to add, think of how much money you are saving not having to buy oil for an Aston I think I may have mentioned this before but I can't be sure
