"it was revealed that Mrs Knowles had had a heart attack as the animals set on her"
"They were vicious dogs – you knew by how they pulled on the lead and you could hear them barking from my house."
"There were so many dogs something like this was bound to happen."
A lot of "WTF's" in that article.

The article says she had a heart attack, which is different to being mauled to death by the dogs.
"Five dogs were later seized from the semi-detached property, and it was revealed that Mrs Knowles had had a heart attack as the animals set on her."I'm just trying not to jump to conclusions, especially as the article is in the Wail.

There is a huge park about 30 seconds walk from the home of this family, I walk my dog every day over there & if i ever saw these dogs as they were always off the lead over there i would walk the other way, One of the Mastiff's pictured charged at my dog a few days ago, My dog just stood it's ground as the owners were screaming for their dog to retutn. Don't know much about the family other than a nod over the park when the Mastiff's were pups, not so long ago, The wife & i got the impression they was going to breed them, just our opinion.
So, family has 5 dogs - like so many multi hard dog owners, why, why need 5 ffs? - some massive and clearly dangerous and yet allows them to run free off the leash in a public space.I'd have them put down. Starting with the owners. Especially the owners. About time the govt. got a f

king grip and rounded up all these bloody dangerous and unecessary 'pets', like the illegals (still seen wandering around with Charlie Chav and his mates all too often) and cross breeds designed to get round the legislation... even if I do upset the dog owners/lovers. Who needs a bloody pitbull etc. other than some 'Kill Dog Tm' security firm (or the old South African Police Force)?
I agree with some of what you say, but by extending your conclusions we had better start killing German Shepherds as well, and we can't have that!I'd have them put down. Starting with the owners. Especially the owners. About time the govt. got a f

Why is that then? other than the Police who actually needs to own brown wolves? I admit to some bias, given my mother was the severalth victim of an Alsatian owned by a 'friend'. Wasn't finally given the cull it so deserved until another couple of visitors had been hospitalised. Though I now expect the rash of 'my Shepherd is the gentlest child minder you could have' type comments. So, I'll

its a totally ridiculous and inaccurate news article, no one was there to witness what occurred. Maybe she had a heart attack and collapsed on one of the dogs whilst carrying their food which sparked a fight between the dogs which she got caught up in... trouble is no one knows..... they werent there.
I have 2 French mastiffs myself, they arent keen on other dogs and I wouldnt fancy your chances if you jumped the garden fence and you were a stranger to them ( especially since a couple of the local kids were caught throwing stones at them over the fence which has made them take a dislike to anyone coming to the fence they dont know), but they have NEVER ever been agressive in any way towards anyone they knew or had introduced to them by myself or the family. When the children were smaller they used to use the dogs as stepping stools to get up onto the living room seats and the dogs neevr batted an eyelid... big soft lumps the pair of them , I accidentally stood on a paw a while back and the big soft sod yelped and lay in his bed for the rest of the afternoon in a big huff...
Although i can agree with the next poster that I certainly couldnt put up with the smell of 5 dogs in the house, 2 is bad enough.. and they get bathed at elast once a week..
i would be pointing my finger more directly at what looks like a sharpei in the forefront of the picture which I know from personal experience do not generally have the best tempraments...
