picked my car up after its service this morning.......many thanks to Stratstone Wilmslow for the excellent service at very reasonable cost ....a few jolly nice DB9's going through PDI's for their new lucky owners

it was no 7 .......i was advised to leave the plugs as the car has only done 32k miles.......that saved me £800......service cost including replacing front and rear pads ( I supplied the pads and oil)less than £600 + VAT and no major problems ....happy days ......but that black DB9 grrrrrrrrrrrrr

The Virage/Rapide front lights make it look very sleek. Best looking car AML have made since Vanquish I think.

You can understand how pissed off Virage owners must be because this has the new Vanquish engine with VVT ......persumably wouldn't be that hard to tune it up to Vanquish BHP ??

This looks better than the 310 Vanquish by a mile (on the photo). Look forward to seeing them side by side.

WHAT??? £800 quid to fit 12 plugs that can be bought for less than £50 quid......do they have to remove the engine??

I have to say that it looks lovely black. My mate had a white one for the evening and that was lovely. However, I saw a left hooker in chipping Campden yesterday in that burnt orange (launch colour for virage) and it looked horrible.

Indeed; the same Ford VCT system, knock control and cylinder heads. So what, apart from electronics is keeping it at 510 bhp compared to the 565bhp of the 310quish? An electronic limiter is all, a little sad really. The DB9.2 is a bargain because that is a nigh-on 600bhp potential car with CCM brakes and switchable/adaptive damping.

The only reason you would choose the 310quish over it are the looks and interior, which are subjective anyway.

If Aston do a manual version... then even I would be tempted

It won't be the Virage owners who are pissed off, but perhaps the 310quish owners

But it's not all about power as I am often told

On DB7, the inlet manifolds (at least) had to come off; plugs and coils was a 6hrs+ of labour job.
