As per the title, would you hire a GT86, bugger off for a weekend via some Welsh B roads, or maybe Exmoor, Dartmoor etc, and enjoy the car for what it appears to do best?

Baring in mind the things this car seems to excel in are plain and simple fun driving.......

Will they let a 17 year old hire one? If so then yes hehe (depending on price)

I'd be more likely to hire an MX5 or your box.

Hiring cars for fun is (for me at least) about driving something too impractical or expensive to own, I don't put the GT86 in that class as a 4 seater hard top with lots of reliability.

Something like an Ariel Atom or Caterham maybe, but certainly not a GT86.

I'd go for a 3.5 2.0 Sport Tech roadster convertible with folding hard top. Probably pick up a Vat qualifying one for under 12k hammer.

No, not enough of an event for me to be excited by it.

Why hire one, chance your arm and just ask for an extended weekend test drive of one instead wink
