Bowlocks!! My Porsche Centre here in SW Germany has sold over 18 Porsche (Cayenne + 911 + Boxter) to customers in Alsace in the last month so your figures are bullcrap!!

A close friend of mine works at OPC Edinburgh and their target for Edinburgh alone would be around that figure.

Proof OP?

Looking at an online version of Automotive Management, although an old edition, Porsche had already done 1728 up to April this year...

I assumed Frecn was some sort of trade journal random blog hehe

Eta: and I can't decide whether to move this to GG as it's ostensibly about cars, or close it as patent bks.

Read it and weep.....it's certainly not bks.

Page 3 of the PDF on that link

Groupe Volkswagen Autres - 14 units.

AS for people quoting a car dealer in SW Gemrnay selling cars to France ? Clearly that would not be included. I don't think German car sales have included France since 1944.

Oh and Renault's sales were down 25%...........

It must exclude Porsche. There's no data for Mazda, Honda or Subaru either.

It seems to add up, I just don't believe they've included Porsche in that, they'd surely sell more than that at a single dealership.

Based on those numbers:
Groupe Volkswagen, Autres
Jan 2011 to Oct 2011 ... 420 units
Jan 2012 to Oct 2012 ... 399 units

Not that much difference is there? The mahoosive drop for Seat should be more of a concern.

This topic might be easier to understand if you include the word 'French' in the title.

How many do they normally sell in October in France. Knowing how the French go for basic motoring it wouldn't surprise me if that was entirely normal.
