Problem with me waterworks

All,

I've got a small problem with me water works on the SEAC.

Noticed a small problem when I was givin it large on the way home from a Friday night car show.

Had just blown a Ford GT40 into the weeds and generally been givin it LARGE all the way home.

Water temp was a bit high but not in the red.. I had
steam coming out the overflow .. I don't have a catch tank now Austec in their wisdom - dispensed with it..

Do I have a problem .. well I lost about a litre of coolant. and I have no brown slugde in oil rockers and the rad does not leak.

I'm going to try a new pressure cap - any other idea's.

Doesn't sound like too much of a problem. Why not see how it goes over the next few days or so.

Mine seems to use a bit of coolant over time.

Remember of course that I am not an expert in these matters!

Have you gat a swan neck with a cap ? Mine was leaking from there and giving similar problems

The swan neck is fine .. that has the correct plain cap (not a pressure cap).

It's only done it the once - I think it could be just an old pressure cap .. so I'm going to try a new one and just carry around some spare coolant.
