Couldn't sleep last night the big day has arrived 
Picking up at 3pm: Vantage V8, Meteorite Silver with manual gearbox. They are swapping out the red tail lights for crystal clear loveliness. Options on the spec are:
High spec alarm
Bluetooth
Black calipers
Cruise control
Bright finish grille
Piano Black veneer
Bright Grille
Front Parking sensors
700W stereo
Memory and heated seats
Sat Nav (Garmin)
Auto dimming rear view mirror
V Spoke Graphite DT wheels
Declined the gap insurance (seemd pricey and excessive) and the wheel / paint ship insurance - I'll be looking after this little lady. I know s**t happens, but I believe in being an optimist and thinking positive generally things work out that way.
The mandatory pictures will be posted in due course (just need to figure out how to do that?)

Ask for an umbrella too - make sure the correct tax disc is on - make sure the Manual is there - get them to pair your mobile phone for you - get them to take out fuse 22 - und so weiter.....

just to add, make sure you get tracker sorted in your name whilst you are there too

Best to pair it to the iPhone if possible, but if not then ask for 2 tracker fobs.
Plus the spare key (plastic ecu if appropriate??).
Check for any paint bubbling around the handles and keyhole, plus any flaking on the side mirror stalks.
Check the condition of the wheels and make sure the 4 centres are not marked - it is pennies for them to replace them whilst it is there.
Oh and, as my mother used to say, clean underwear if possible
Nice! Welcome to the Meteorite Silver club. My favourite colour I wish I had asked for clear lights when I go mine, but when I told mrsmac she just said "it's not like the red rear looks as bad as a baboon's Harris is it? And you don't see them changing theirs....." So I kept the reds.
It wasn't the time or place to explain that Baboons haven't perfected rectal plastic surgery yet..... In fact I have my doubts if they will ever want to even if they could.
