So, can anyone beat Cheshire to Calais, a journey of about 300 miles, on one tank of fuel in a 400 Chimaera fully loaded with luggage and a passenger for Le Mans?

I did 360 miles in my old Griff 500 on the one tankfull during the fuel strikes..

My best average is just over 29mpg, Griff 500. Bloody surprised me too!

Regularly did Cheshire to Great Torrington Devon , 270 miles on less than a tank full.

....... we won't talk about the SEAC

Poole to York @ 31.6 mpg is the best I have managed so far. That was roof on though

Best in the Tusc is 28.7

Best I've managed in the Tuscan so far is, erm, about 23MPG on a run. Worst is around 8MPG.

I didn't buy it to drive it like a Ka!

Thats strange. I set up an anti-Chimeara owner filter. Been near any lately? Perhaps you caught something dodgy!

That's what surprised me! We were pootling around France, not taking it particularly slowly, and got over 29mpg!

Last week, driving from the south of france to the uk, best tank got me 31.8 MPG in the t350!! and that was cruising at 90-93mph! the other tanks were all above 28 mpg.

Forgot to mention I have got a sticking throttle that really needs sorting out, mind...

Thank God I'm not the only one to get that sort of mpg. I was beginning to think I was some kind of Wuss.

I usually see somewhere between 17 and 25 with our Griff...

I wonder if the lambda sensors are getting a bit old?
Or do I always drive it with my lead boots on?

99 4lt chim, 13k miles on clock. get 33mpg on long run averaging 80mph, usually around the 20mpg mark around town tho!
