Recently bought some second hand calipers from a TT as an upgrade and they came with EBC Yellow Stuff pads and some drilled an grooved discs. However the discs look a bit worse for wear but I don't know if it may just be straw rust or whether they are past the point of use:

Would they be ok to use, or just get some new?

Cheers
Mike

They've not been used for a long time. Personally I wouldn't reuse those there's some deep scoring on the surface the rust looks more than superficial.

Thanks.

I had thought so but have asked some other people and have had a mixed opinion.

Off to get some new ones now.

Ha!!

I wouldn't even consider using them, they're knackard.!

I'd not use new EBC stuff, either!

agreed , not had much joy with ebc

unless its a racing car , why not get some standard undrilled ones and keep the extra spare ££ for the next set or towards servicing

You need to really consider the worth/knowledge behind anybody saying those would be OK to use!

They are indeed shagged. Also, are they some sort of multifit - there seems to be more holes than metal on the mounting flange?

I didn't think the OP was being serious in his first post but if you get mixed opinions then be careful who you ask in future.

They're good for another 100k. Not even any need to remove the rust just put them straight on and drive!

Don't take my advice

+1, no harm in turning them down a bit and seeing how much metal you need to take off to get a decent surface, they may or may not be usable but at least you would know. I would not pay someone else to do it for discs in this condition so no lathe, bin them.
