Thinking of booking my first trackday in my current car after doing a few improvements to it. Any advice/comments welcome!

Thanks

Do it!

I'm booked on that day, as are some mates of mine. God only knows what the weather will be like, but you can't fail to enjoy a trackday.

Even one that ends like this:

I'll be in a modified golf v6 4motion if I can make it so dont mind a bit of rain to test my new haldex upgrade. Should be fun!

Thanks for all the replies

I'm toying with doing this one - got Silverstone this Sat and had intended that to be the last one this year but the Bedford day is tempting £139 for a Sat on the GT circuit even if it does rain !!

Booked in today for this one - if anyone fancies a passenger ride in an Atlom 300 bring your waterproofs and a full face lid - il will have the dunlop wets with me so should have some grip even if its a cold wet winter day - it'll be my last TD of the year - hope a few of you guys are coming along

Shimmy, hows it going mate, still got the CSL?

Ive got a few mates doing this one so am tempted to go but when i was at Bedford last month the track had marbles all over it, no drifting allowed and generally had a boring day add to the fact that i swore never to do a Javelin day again im reluctant to do it

I'll be there with a mate- if you see a bloke in a red Elise talking to another bloke with a Mk1 MX5 come over and say hi.

Are waterproofs compulsory for a ride in the Atom? smile

Hahaha - full face lid and a signed frostbite waiver and you'll be fine !! I'll be sporting thermals and plenty of layers

Forecast currently looks great - dry sunny and max of 3 degrees min of 0 - it's going to be bloomin cold down that back straight !!

See you on Sat

Was a good day, I owe Ian a big thank you for the passenger ride; was awesome. Seen some good action today and this has convinced me I need to supercharge the golf asap! Most of the drivers were good today but there was a few knobs who nearly caused accidents, or refused to pull over for faster cars coming through.

I was surprised how fast and how slow some cars were today. The brief wet period was very funny, lots of spins and off's.
