Southern Portugal, February to March

Evening, globe-trotting PH'ers! Having never ventured that far south nor east in Europe, could anyone tell me what kind of weather prevails in southern Portugal in February or March? Whilst I'm not expecting summer temperatures, is there at least warmth and sun/T-Shirt weather?

End of March can be around 21C with nice sunshine ... very pleasant

If you can stretch to April you could watch a few stages of the WRC.

weather around that time is very unpredictable.

We've got a place there - went to WRC 2011 and it was t-shirt weather, didnt go this year but it was close to being called off owing to very heavy rainfall.

Also be aware that this is PRE tourist season - so you'll find a number of restaurants etc closed.

Reminds me - need to sort out popping over to make sure we didnt lose anything in the tornado!
