Renault Alpine GTA Project

I've had an express project on the go for the last few months which I should be getting back next work.
The plan was to build a daily driver, and something to take on long touring trips with decent economy. The road testers always reckoned the carbed car was better to drive if not as quick as the turbo, but with age the carbs are the cause of no end of problems. So I came up with the idea of fitting an injected lump for more economy reliability and driveability. I have a turbo version running over 300 bhp but it's a bit extreme to drive every day.
Take one old neglected GTA Atmo, lightly damaged, non runner had been sat for a few years
Low mileage engine was sourced from a H reg 2.9i Espace. Same engine but with fuel injection as standard. Aircon pump removed, 3 branch tubular manifolds fitted, new rocker box gaskets, crankshaft oil seal replaced, fully serviced and cleaned up.
Subframe, wishbones etc all cleaned up and given a coat of paint. A new radiator was fitted as were brake discs, pads, front to rear water pipes, slave cylinder, rear calipers and any minor items in need of replacement.
Engine went straight in but major head scratching went into running a new high pressure fuel system (copied from the turbo version in the end) and wiring the ECU into the existing loom. Nice touch is using the V6 Plenum from the turbo angled to run down to the air filter.
Once the engine was in it was down to have a custom stainless exhaust made.
I had a set of refurbed GAZ coilovers and a set of AZEV wheels in my selection of spares so these were a welcome addition to the project. It was then off to my paint man for all the repairs to be done, new headlamp glasses fitted and painted.
I'll post up some more pics when I get it back. Did drive it up to the painters and engine was very crisp and sounded fantastic. Hoping to see about 175-180 bhp from the engine and the car is only about 1100kgs so about the same power to weight as a Clio 182 but with more low down torque. Seat of the pants feel was exactly that.
Need to tidy up the interior and sort out a few electrical issues and then she'll be ready to go.
