Operation Kingfisher micro light flights
Discussion
weight limits should be strictly obeyed, you will more than likely find yourself stood on some scales if your weight looks like it may cause issues
there are 2 weight limits to consider, one for the seat limit and one for the maximum takeoff weight.
you will most likely find the 15st limit is for a flex wing (the triangular wing with the pod underneath) rather than the 3 axis (typically rag and tube aeroplane) as the 3-axis tend to have slightly lower seat limits and less lifting capacity (the microlight/passengers+fuel must come in at under the max take off weight which for most modern microlights is 450kg).
if in doubt give them a call and be honest on your weight with clothes on, they may have a 100kg seat limit and a slimmer instructor for example).

Popham is quite a well known airfield but I'm not sure what aircraft they fly.
I did my first experience flight back in September and was hooked. 6 weeks later I'm 7 hours in to my nppl(m).
Weight was never mentioned and I'm 14.5st, albeit we usually only have 30 litres of fuel and my instructor is much smaller than me.
I don't think you'll have a problem... unless you're telling yourself you were 15st last time you weighed yourself ;-)

probably easier than risking a weight issue
