and so here we have it, a 456 for VW Golf E money

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1997-Ferrari-456-GT-/330...

Cat D repaired, which could mean anything from a dent in the bumper to the front end ripped off

brave enough

in my book if you consider 18k small change and want a cheap Fez for the weekends it's a decent buy

in saying that I could buy it and put it in my driveway and spent endless hours cleaning it

the running of it would be ruinous as a daily

then again you only live once

Isn't there someone on here who bought a 458 for £2.50 and a packet of crisps recently? Anyone know how he's getting on?

So - the previous owner 'says' it had a cambelt and clutch, but he/she couldn't be arsed to sort out the minor bodywork and cabin niggles....... And it's had a speedo change.

What could possibly go wrong? However brave you are, you'd be relying on the Greater Fool theory to ever sell it again.

Ahhhm oot.

Yes,

CAT D.
Clock change undocumented.
No service history.

Or buy it and prepare yourself for wallet rapeage of biblical proportions, which may not occur........

The question is, 'are you feeling lucky, punk?'

I know it's Cat D, but there's something about a slightly scruffy Ferrari. Like a charming business man who is very down at heel but still a nice fellow, yet potentially unreliable.

Sure there would be some history of it in the Ferrari network to plug some gaps in the service record?

Mmmmm Le Mans Blue with Tan leather and a manual gearbox, would be a delight until it went pop.

Early stuff can probably be traced and they have invoices for the last 3 years, it's probably the bit in the middle that cannot be traced or they would have done so.

We think the car has covered about 40k Miles but as the car has had a speedo change and only shows 5k, we cannot be sure. The does not have its original service book but we have recent service invoices for over £9k in the last three years including a full cam belt service this year.
