Has anyone used the Pro-Shift Bump & Blip Electronic shift system on a non Motor Cycle Engine but on a Car Engine / Sequential Gearbox set up ?
Their system used Electronic Actuators rather than an Air Pneumatic system , I know it works well on Motorcycle Engine Gearbox instillation.

Yes, we've used a Pro-Shift and blipper on a 2 litre engine with an FTR gearbox. It works well when setup perfectly, but is a little intolerant of any maladjustment. Even taking the back of the gearbox off to change ratios (the actuator being attached to the rear cover) made it lose its adjustment, and caused poor downshifts.

Maybe the later ones are better - this was a PS2 system.

Not a fan, Pneumatic systems work much better/reliably/safley.

Personal preference is Geartronics, installed quite a few now, would not get elsewhere.

I discussed pneumatic / solenoid systems with a gearbox manufacturer and they didn't like solenoids as they felt they were to harsh, the pneumatic systems are a little softer and gentler on the gear box.

I dont have any practical experience and we stayed stick in the end.

Thanks quite a few people had said the air systems are a lot more friendly to the dog teeth , The air systems seems to cushion the gear engagement
