Hi I want to get some more RAM.

I have DDR Ram I think its PC2700
PC3200 is the same price so should I get the 3200 or do I have to keep the same.

How can I check on my system what I have fitted RAM wise .

Cheers.

PS have no idea what pc2700 means

Yes

All RAM is backwards compatible, it just runs at the lower of the speeds

PC2700 means that it can run at a 166 MHz bus speed (DDR means Double Data Rate so it's double that). PC133 Dimms used to mean that it ran at a 133Mhz bus speed. PC2700 means the full theoretical memory bandwidth of the module.

Saying this, as much as you try, you can't get an EDO Simm into a DDR socket, unless you have a big hammer
