I want to change the pads all round on my 1998 E240 W210. I have checked a few sites to order them from but there seem to be different sizes. Is there an easy way to check what I require without having to take the wheels off to find out??

Ring up Mercedes and give them your reg/chassis number.

Don't waste your money and time on pattern parts. yes
