I have been trying to do a search of what oil I should have used in my G50 box but am getting confused by all the different types you are all using.
I have used a part synthetic 75W-90 API GL-4 in which I got from Halfords.
I don't want to start a war on the pros and cons of different oils, but I would like to know if what I have is up to the job.
In retrospect, I was wondering if perhaps I should have gone for something a bit better from a porsche specialist.

Yes Yes Yes, go to a Porsche Place and ask for a normal thicker consistance Semi-Syn oil. Don't fitt the lighter engine oil consistance stuff. I wore out my Ring gear on the Diff because of useing Mobile 1 75-90. Miles to thin, Just ask Bluesatin, he used some normal Porsche oil which was quite thick and has done as many miles as anybody that I know, and his diff is still fine. So yes make damn sure you fit the right stuff, if you do then these no problems...
