Obtaining service history.

Having just bought a car (e46 3-series), i've seen that it's first 3 out of 4 services were done at a main BMW dealer, about 2-3 hours away from me.

Are they obliged to give me any service history printouts, receipts etc for my own reference and when i sell the car?? Im also curious to find out some of the history of the vehicle.

I was going to use the "i'll bring it to you for servicing and want everything in check" card, so they would send it me, but i cant imagine them falling for that if they have to post the documents to an address 3 hours away

Are they likely to send it out to me if i ring them and ask, or will they tell me to jog on?

Not being funny, but why don't you just phone them and ask? You would have your answer in less time than it took to write your post.
