New Range Rovers by the dozen in Marrakech!

I was in Marrakech this weekend & low & behold saw around 60-80 of these beauties all being prepped & ready for someone. They were fitted with a variety of Italian, German & other EU plates. The actual site was within a 'race track' & the pits were being used for the prep area.

yes, i was staying at the Four Seasons in Marrakech two weeks ago and this was the main hotel for the dealer principles and journo's for the 3 week lauch event - the new RR's almost outnumbered the clapped out Peugeot and Mercedes petit-taxis...

i checked with my local dealer when i got home what the delivery time would be for a new one - he had 42 firm orders with deposits already, all of next years allocation. i am 43rd on the list !

I was in Guy Salmon (Portsmouth) this afternoon and was told they're all going out there at the weekend.

Best thing about it is the road South.

Rumour has it that we don't see much though. Fly in, drive - dinner - bed - breakfast - classroom - drive - airport - fly out. Usual LR launch then.

On the bright side, at least we're not flying out at 03.30am from Luton, that's what they normally arrange.

Like LHD, I'm out there 24/25th which is a weekend, bang at the end of the month.

Not a good time to be away from the dealership, unfortunately - or I probably would.
