Evening All

This is a 2nd account i have just setup, previous one was johnhenry90 or something along those lines, maybe some of you have read my many 'what cars' hah, if not, Hello.

From a 'What car' i ended up sourcing a; Subaru Forester 99 S Turbo with FSSH and about 120K on the clock, in black and in top spec, i absolutely love it to pieces, it just goes and goes, just had it serviced, made my eyes water, but is so worth it! Im beyond fussy with cars and its just such a gem of a car, really taken with it.

BUT - i am possibly finishing my work soon, or im changing to different t&c which means i cannot afford the Forster frown sadly i think its got to go.

An idea a couple of people have suggested, due to it's spec, its age, colour and the fact it's been looked after; maybe it might have a value in Japan

How would one go about 1) finding out if there is a demand for the car in japan? 2) If so - how would one advertise it?
Anyone have any experience with this?

Cheers
John

couple of people that have imported, JDM'y stuff, might appeal similar (obviously not JDM) people there purely because its a decent spec, its not been messed with. was only a suggestion.

This.

Second hand cars are pretty much worthless in japan, regardless of condition, age(unless classic). there are loads of japanese car auction sites, log on and have a look for yourself, some cars are 1/2 or 1/3rd of TRADE value.....

Lots of Japanese used cars are exported OUT of Japan because their MOT is expensive and tough to pass.

Sorry, but this plan sounds a bit like coals to Newcastle

How ironic. Exporting our jap cars back to Japan hehe

Never going to work, unless its a mint low miles R32 or something like that. Those type of cars do now have a value over there.

Though surely not as much value as over here?
