Here we go again with the ******* ACO
Discussion
Thought I'd login and check my account details prior to the booking balls up.
Couldn't remember my password so asked it to be sent to my email address. It was..
...but it didn't fckiung work.....
email address not recognised - you just sent me an email you t
t
password is incorrect - what? the one you just sent me to the email address that isn't recognised.
So I speak to the nice lady who tells me to email tickets@lemans.org to check with them.
Guess what - the email address doesn't work and it was bounced straight back.
HTF they manage to run the race every year is totally beyond me - as ever

I was a member in 2006 and 2007. Nothing has changed by the sound if it. No advantage booking with them. After the joining fee it's still cheaper to book with 1st Tickets and other agents. We get exactly what we want every year no problem dealing with (British) people who care and who get up in the morning to do their job. The French are useless at this sort of thing, always have been, always will be.

The last ten years I've booked with ACO, and always got what I asked for.
Little bit of hassles like today waiting, but not really much of an issue.
Me too, but it was a lot easier when they sent you a nice letter with your last year's order and said do you want these again? if so, send us a cheque.Little bit of hassles like today waiting, but not really much of an issue.
This is shambolic and the ACO ought to be ashamed. They knew what was going to happen and, once again, they were unprepared come crunch time.
You can't even get through to the local offices on the phone so all the best tickets will go to the French again.
Only thing that threw me was the password they were asking for. Thought I had all the codes sorted but seemingly not. Quick reset sorted it though.
I too had done a load of trial runs logging in, but this still cropped up.
The old 'top 3' choices was amusing and must have been a logistic nightmare for ACO. I do agree this system could be simpler.
I wonder how many people were waiting to book tickets today the second it opened.
In the couple of minutes I needed to log back in with second membership, my next order ref was 200 higher than previous.
Anyway, all sorted. Roll on June!

Can't add campsites - any campsite all sold first day??
To check this, I went on the 'Billeterie' site and was able to choose campsites. Didn't actually buy them, because I already ordered tickets with the Tourist Agency. Were you able to choose them and not purchase them, or not able to choose them at all?

Booked in at the ACO site - only problem is that the surface is supposed to be hard.. getting the mallets ready
If it's the same one I booked into two years ago (but just with a different name) - then yes, it is a hard surface. It was like a small car park! Needless to say, it was all mobile homes/caravans too.Edited by Great Dane on Tuesday 6th November 20:22
Wasn't my thing, so I went and bought some tickets for Beausejour. Depends what you want from your campsite - I like buzz and an atmosphere (which this didn't have); if you don't care, and like the fact it's cheap - awesome!
In response to the OP, I had the same and couldn't actually book tickets online anymore - despite endless emails, and conversations that a French friend of mine had with the ACO - which threw up all sorts of passwords that didn't work. Each year, I had to contact my nice lady at the ACO instead. This year, I decided to let my membership lapse, and then reapply - so that I could get a new membership number, and start again. It's worked so far; we'll see what happens next year...

I don't know if it's just me, but the system won't even let me log into my ticketing account now.
I keep getting the "invalid password" message.
Luckily I was able to (hopefully) book everything on Tuesday
Edit: I used the "Forgot password" link & updated my password (to the one it already was) & it works fine now
I think the website is having a few issues with the level of traffic & multiple browser support issues

The critical thing for an ACO member using the ACO website for booking tickets for LM is to remember that you have two separate accounts: one account for ACO membership and an entirely separate account for ordering tickets. Both accounts require their own separate password. I think this has been overlooked by members so they try using the membership account password which will be invalid: they must use their ticketing account password. There's a way round this: set up a new account at the end of the placing-your-order sequence on the website.
I had the same problem that others have experienced. I called the ACO and spoke in English with a really helpful person while I was online and she ensured my order was fully processed using the online service.
I've no idea why two separate accounts are required. Maybe it's simply because the ACO membership is one thing and the ticketing is dealt with by some other oprganisation not apparent from the ACO website when ordering tickets.
