Footwell Light

[Griffophenia]

Has anybody else got a passanger side footwell light on an early Griffith. Found it today when connecting the battery conditioner. Its not mentioned in the owners manuel or the Bible!! Its the type as fitted to the rear hood frame.

Yeh, got one too.
Very usefull if you need to workdown there.

Yes I've got one too, it's not connected and I think the trimmer has put carpet over where it should be, can you explain approx where it is???

I have one too (95 car) and both it and the hood light come on when a door is opened.

Stand back in amazment! None of my lights come on when the doors are opened-no matter what position the switch is in!

I may have a light down there, but its too dark to see at the moment!!!
It would be a handy aid for seeing where you've pushed those wires, when working at night..

Have a look at the switches in the sills. It may be these have gone rusty.

Nope the door switches are fine!! thay operate the alarm/immob. when pushed in you can hear them functioning!! The fault must be at the lights switch/operation.

Dont forget there is a delay on the interior lights. Its quite long too and makes it difficult to work out which the correct position for the switch is.

I also found that if you leave them switched to auto, when you press the blipper(alarm fob) they come on.
