Hi, some advice please guys.

I've got to be at West Brompton station tomorrow for around 10am.

I'm coming from North West and train isn't an option due to needing stuff in the boot.

(Won't need the stuff until the evening on the way back so not an issue on the tube etc).

Where would you park up in order to jump on a train into London? What time would you get there?

I'll def need to get an early night tonight!

Southern Railway run trains to West Brompton from Milton Keynes. Might be an easy option if you don't need the stuff in the car until the evening.

I usualy park at Hillingdon £5 all day or Perivale £3 all day (take change), both are off the M40/A40

Hillingdon - West Brompton would be picaddilly line change at earls court
Perivale would be central line to Shepards Bush then overground rail

Watford Junction? It's only 32 min from West Brompton by a direct train, although there is only one an hour so you'd need to be on the 0851. Parking all day at the station is £7.

I think this is looking like the best bet for me?

The cost of parking etc is fine as it's all expenses - would I need to book a ticket beforehand?

I have visions of millions of people all commuting into London and me spending 32 mins with my face squashed against the door?

confused If all expenses are being paid for why dont you just dump the car in the exhibition car park at seagrave and walk around the corner to the station?

Same train company and service as from Milton Keynes...so takes your choice! Never travelled on it so cant advise how busy, but 8.51 from Watford I doubt will be that bad.

That's not a bad idea. Not sure I can be arsed with the driving in London.

I'm actually considering just sending the stuff in the boot by courier and jumping the train from Lime Street to London.

Just checked... £280 for an open return, yikes, could get a cheap week away all inclusive for that! Ah well.

Shame that you dont want to be there at 11, as 10am will still be hitting the rush hour on the way in. Would be quite a mellow drive if you came in on the A40, dropped down at white city and followed your nose to earls court.
