Did anyone see 5th Geat last night showing the 120mph controlled crash of a Ford Focus.
BLOODY HELL, not much of it left and the dummies disintegrated.

Makes you think about driving over the speed limit.

Sorry if this is a repost.

Surprising. I've walked away from a 119 mph bump into a concrete wall twice.

What a waste of dummies!

Why didn't they just use criminals?

I had the cruise control at 125mph last week.

Not bothered by that video, hitting a concrete wall is almost impossible. Scrubbing speed off, gradual deceleration and hitting a soft object much more likely.

Hitting a tree however...

Waits for the inevitable overreaction of someone who didn't look at the picture properly...

It's not just hitting a concrete wall, stationary car, tree, armco, bridge.
I'm not saying at all that I don't drive over the speed limit, I do, but it just makes you think.

You wouldn't know much about it if it happened, so I guess it isn't worth worrying about biggrin

Reminds me of Czech service stations last month, covered in posters advertising a brand new road sign.

Huge publicity, own website and campaign.

Apart from the obvious, it's also a publicity campaign to make road toll detectors more socially accepted. Having invested in road tolls "for foreign lorries only", it then became "vans too", now it's "an amazing safety aid" and soon it will probably be "cars too".

Uses road toll cameras to detect car registrations being read in the wrong order, meaning a car is travelling in the wrong direction.

"What to do when you get a warning
Get timely information on the car in the opposite direction is usually crucial to minimize the potential consequences. There is certainly no reason to panic. Police recommends that drivers take extra care to reduce speed and to properly monitor the situation on the road ahead. Complicate the situation could be any of your unexpected maneuvering between lanes or even stop at the roadside. It is not clear which part of the highway will be "misguided" to move the vehicle. And also do not know who the other traffic participants about the car in the opposite knows."

Even got a Facebook page for fans...

Excessive speed lunacy? It's only 125mph.

Probably more like 115 if the speedo has a typical error offset.

Twice?

I would move the wall if I were you.
