Is there an easy way (as I have 2 left hands...) to verify if the vacuum brake assistance of my 350i is working or not. The disks are OK, the pads are OK, but I have to apply a considerable pressure on the pedal to have a descent braking.
Everything is visually correctly connected. The master cylinder is connected to a rather classic circular vacuum tank.
Any idea ???

Test: foot on the brake, start engine. The pedal should sink a bit. If not it is not working.
Remark: TVRs take more pressure than standard modern cars...

Depending upon how loud your engine is, you should also be able to hear a hiss when pushing the brake pedal (air entering servo). I can just hear mine with the 2.8 engine when idling.

Or - switch engine off and then you should get at least 2 servo assisted brake pushes with the hiss noise.
