Oil Heater Wiring

Would all of you smart guys who have installed an oil heater pad under the tank share how you have arranged the wiring and connections to be easy to use and weatherproof when driving.
Thanks in anticipation
Hi,Thanks in anticipation
You want the Oil Heater on the Wet Sump (i think it's called that) if that makes sense, where the oil resides before it's sucked into the dry sump, otherwise...pointless. My cable is routed into the engine bay (lots of excess lead), on the left side for the moment with a lawnmower connector which I plug in and unplug. I open the bonnet to connect and disconnect. The lead is cable tied to the side, discretely. I have a remote control plug which I activate from the house, 2 hours before I leave, which warms it up nicely. I then lift the bonnet, unplug and off I go.
Over the winter, the cable will be re-routed into the front scoop area on the left side, hidden inside, so I can plug and unplug discretely there, without lifting the bonnet up and down, and will be fixed with velcro. I have bought a waterproof end to the lawnmower connector, to protect from rain etc.
I hope this is helpful.
Job done.
Hi I do the same as Matt. I plug in from my garage wall into the passenger footwell. I allow myself two options: 1) I have a Targa top, I leave the passenger panel off and allow the wire to hang out so that the car can be locked and alarm (window automatically closes), easy for you with Tam unless you park outside. 2) being in a locked garage, I can leave the passenger window slightly ajar and let the wire hang out of that. Not my preferred option since it means the car can't be locked and alarmed.

I think the model 16 is what we have. I ordered directly from their website, but I think some ordered from a UK reseller. The model 16CSACE did not exist yet when I ordered by the way.
