Hi folks~
The parts manual shows a restrictor in the vaccuum line between a TIV and distributor. Steve at SJ sports cars says it is actually a idle jet and gave me a freebie along with my other stuff. When I stuck this idle jet in the vaccuum line, I find it sort of work like a one way valve, which allows more to pass in a specific direction. Is this the right phenomena? What direction should I install this idle jet?

Yes, I think it does release the pressure slowly.
I think your suggestion of removing it is actually the easier way to go. Thanks.

If this one-way valve is something that can get plugged much like a PCV as they both come of the same source, is this an item that should be removed and cleaned periodically? Say every few years?

What would be the symptom of this valve plugging?
