mot night mare
Discussion
just got the cerbera mot ed .god what a night mare seems like the usual issues immisions only just scrapped in after about 30 mins of trying then the question was asked "wheres your number plate lights" so after removing the number plate and showing that they did work they gave me an advisory . pointing out the original number plate would let the light through the number plate
is there such a number plate and where can you get them from, does anybody know a tvr freindly mot station in the doncaster area

Try this link https://www.craigsplates.com/ you can order the rear plates from them they are translucent not transparent, you will need to send copy of log book and ID and you can pay extra to get them delivered next day after thye recieve all the details from you, hope that helps

I put humungus brigth LEDs in before i realised it needed a translucent plate. I got the plate from http://www.platesforcars.co.uk

Hardly the MoT testers fault that the plate was not see through!
I was assuming that the test was being carried out in the usual conditions and the tester was looking for the lights.
As these are hidden I thought that lack of knowledge was a safe assumption,
Rarely do the plates illuminate in daylight, I had the same question asked of mine and I have the transparent plate ..... Hence I took it to Str8six ......
ye thats me alright give us a wave next time you see me (not the 2 fingered one though
)seems everybody has the same issues when it comes to mot time have been told that selby tvr have there own mot station so next time i will take it for a trip up north the immisions were only just in at 1.03 i think the upper limit was there for an hour and a half
had to do all the donkey work myself as nobody had a clue there
