This.
I've been to Oulton Park many times, never to see a rally though. Is it all on circuit? If so I may give it a miss.
Looking at the photos it looks like it may be on the surrounding roads as well but there is not much information. Was wondering if anyone here knew much about it?

I've done many stage rallies at Oulton. Not sure if they will be using some of the infield roads as they have in the past, but as a competitor, when they run the stages the 'wrong' way round the circuit it becomes quite interesting.

Going through Deers Leap up to Lodge on a frosty morning the first time is interesting, as is going flat out over the crest down clay hill. The fast cars will go fairly light and have a touch of oppo on the way down...

First time as a rally venue since the RAC in '93. Almost cheaper to enter than a track day! I'm going to pop along!

Great afternoon out!

Perhaps shows the future of British rallying. No TV coverage; no sponsorship, but nicely prepared cars and a lot of talent.

Agreed, my mates car snapped a wire on the start line for stage 1 ! messed up his day but he drove brilliantly for the rest of the afternoon and the car sounded great, nice to see him out after a few years away.

Great fun to watch them all, loads of nav mistakes around the fosters section I noticed!

Stunning SLR parked up near the loos as weill cloud9

Had a crackin day out yesterday, the chicanes made things interesting, especially the one between Old Hall and Cascades! Got some footage of a red mk2 Escort ploughing through the tyres and bailing into the pits, good to seem him running the last stage afterwards though, even with no windscreen!

Think i'll be attending more of these in futurebiggrin

Oh, and that SLRcloud9

Did anyone see the Darrian of John Indri driving down the stage the wrong way?! I see he was excluded and given 6 points on his license!

Was that at Cascades? I saw one going the wrong way there as he had headed off onto Island instead of the short route on lap one and had spun it round and was coming back to go the right way! bit daft, almost as daft as the couple of cars that thought the road off towards the brook that the marshalls use was part of the stage!

Saw the Ginetta bin it on the run out of Knickerbrook, proper shame.

I had a great time. Very full day of sport, loads of people, great non-stop action, lots of cars to look at in the paddock and car park and 13 quid in. And I only found out about it from surfing on here on Fri night. Top marks!

Unfortunately I only found out about it after the event! Looks like it would have been a great day out. Just seen some in car video from one of the runners.....first time I've seen video of going round Oulton the wrong way!
