Anyone had this, or know of anyone who has? I was rushed to hospital in July with a suspected heart attack, as I'm 30, healthy, don't drink, smoke or do drugs, and have no family history of heart problems this confused them quite a bit. To cut a long story short, after a week in hospital including lots of tests (Angiogram, two MRI scans, ECGs every few hours and many more), medication and monitoring I was diagnosed with Acute Myocarditis.

As that's a virus I was able to come home and stop all medication, and as it didn't do any permanent damage I was told I should recover after 2 months, there was no indication that I would have further complications/issues after that recovery period. I improved significantly after 2 months, even spectating at the Britcar 24hr amongst other things, but in the past month I've been getting increasingly tired, to the point now where I can just about manage 2 or 3 days at work (office job) before needing to rest for days, and even a few hours shopping means a whole day of rest is required after. I've seen 4 different doctors in the past few weeks and had more tests (ECG showed anomalies but they felt these were not unexpected given the virus I had/have), but haven't really got any answers or know where to go next.

As it's a relatively rare virus I'm struggling to find any information or advice, I hate bothering my GP (and missing so much work) but as it's so bad it's hard to know what else to do. Any specific advice, or even more general advice from people who have had ongoing health issues with no obvious 'cure' or support would be very much appreciated.

I don't know about the heart stuff, but your symptoms sound similar to post viral fatigue which I have suffered from a couple of times after having Swine Flu and Glandular Fever. It makes you feel totally knackered for weeks. I found even walking up the stairs meant I had to go and lie down. I believe this can some times lead to ME, which some Dr's apparently don't accept even exists.

Don't worry about bugging your GP, that's what they are there for and what you pay your tax for. What you are experiencing doesn't sound right and you should push them for some answers
