Gentlemen,
A word of thanks for all the advice on my fume situation, I cannot beleive how much fumes could be entering the vehicle from such small gaps and just by sealing the rear lights and bumper fixings I am now fume free. I even took the day off work yesterday to enjoy a great day out blasting around Northumberland.

Many Thanks
Harry

Good for you harry. Glad to see you sorted it.
Will still catch up with you when the silver series 1 is on the road.

My other vixen is now decidedly off the road. I made the mistake of leaving the car with a so called "ex TVR race engineer" in Stockport for a week to find that his idea of engineering was pouring 2 cans of octane booster in the tank and trying to charge for a broquet fuel catalyst???

have brought the car back home and stripped it down in temper. it may well now turn into a Tuscan SE replica.

Have pulled head off engine to check compression ratio and cam type, will now do the job properly and fit a new distributer and electronic ignition. Engine was found to be perfect bye the way, just a shame the race engineer wasn't

2hrs labour £102?? to get the car back in the same state. Wouldn't have minded so much if he's actually done something. I have learnt a lesson the hard way. Don't chose someone because of the hype. I now know he is "ex" for a reason.

Neil.

Hmmm,
Rather annoying - I hate getting ripped off, however in my recent experiences I found quite the opposite, the guys at the place we spoke about recently (won't mention the name for fear of violating the PH rules) were only too willing to help and indeed went the extra mile as I took the motor back for a minor problem so they took it upon themselves to do other stuff they felt needed doing and only asked me to pay a few pennies for the parts there was no labour charge and they said they enjoyed working on it.
Top Class in my opinion and if anyone wants a recomendation for the N.E. area they can mail me.
What Dizzy & ignition are you going for Niel - I've just done mine.

Harry
