Just put £50 in the car as the light was on and had been for a couple of days and decided for my second tank to treat it to some of the good stuff. I've rarely bought it in the past as I've only ever had NA engines but now I have a turbo charged car I thought I'd give it a whirl.

Anyway, I noticed standard UL was 134.9 but the VPower was 142.9! I've never noticed such a big difference but have I just not been paying attention? Has the difference always been this big? I was expecting 4-6p more but 8p? Par for the course around the country?

SUL at Shell always used to be 6p/L more than 95RON. When V-Power was launched the gap went up to 7p and at some point in the last 18 months the difference went up to 8p. I've noticed that they want 8p/L extra for V-Power diesel too, up from 5p when it was launched.

You're better off going to TESCO and buying their 99RON fuel which is usually 5p/L more than 95RON

No Tesco in my town. Closest one is a 10 mile drive away. Two Shell stations and a Morrisons. There's a BP too but it's always 2-3p more than anywhere else.

I've just changed from Tesco 99 to V Power. Wouldn't go back now.
