About 15 years ago the company I then worked for decided that we all neded big stickers on our company sign written vans inviting the general public to winge about our every little driving infraction.

Out of 14 of us only myself and one other engineer managed to keep our call scores at zero until one day about 9 months after the stickers went on I get a call.

Aparently I had been driving through a small hamlet and had not given way to a silver jaguar.

the alleged offence had happend only a few days previous and I couldnt for the life of me work out what they were on about as I rememberd the journey quite well.

Turns out the silver jag belonged to the local big land owner who was a bit batty and thought I should have waved him out of his drive way and not made him follow me for almost a mile.

Upon hearing this explanation from the girl at the hows my driving call centre and being asked what my apology to the jag driver should be I was very remorsefull and managed to weedle his home phone number out of her.

I got bored of phoning him at 3 am from random phone boxes asking where my taxi was when I was on night call out rota about 6 months later smile

My business number is plastered all over the ass end of my truck so I get regular calls from people who think that I am going too slowly (40mph on single carriagway roads as per the law) I like to let them run out of steam and then politely point them in the direction of the highway code.

I also tell them to take it up with their MP as 40mph for trucks and 60mph for cars is fking stupid.
