many speed bumps are very poorly maintained I've noticed, especially any 'bolt down' types eg on private company land and places like supermarkets. So, who would be responsible if a bolt or some other type of fixing ripped a hole in your expensive tyre? confused Hasn't happened to me, but it can be hard to see these small pieces of metal, especially if it's dark etc. Would you be able to get a new tyre out of them or would it be tough luck? I think quite a few of them have these problems, if you start looking checking them.

Took some photos at a Sainsbury just to illustrate the point

Presumably they have signs up to warn you use the car park at your own risk etc etc?

That wouldn't cover negligence.

If I saw that I'd be having a word in the store manager's ear.

Thanks for that. Surely, by the time you'd arsed around taking that set of pics, it would have made more sense to just inform the relevant person at the store, and get it removed. It's not like it's a public information film for those using the store, that'ed be a bit of a long shot.
