Verdi. It's LHD...I'd probably rather have one with a few more miles in RHD. And there's the possibility that one has sat for long periods of time, and we all know what problems can come of that...

What's a fair price for a low milegae RHD spider?

Depends where you buy from and age. I'm searching for a late RHD car at the moment and prices generally vary from £55k to £63k from dealers. I've even seen a late one for sale at £80k and thats not even from a main dealer.

The colour is stunning in the metal, though i appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea. Check this car hasn't been in accident as i remember seeing 1 very similar recently that had.

That bad?

I'm thinking it's the "sensible" alternative to an M400, in that i won't get spanked for depreciation? I'm not a fan of red ferraris though I like the blue or black...........

Put it this way, if it was me I'd factor in the price of a (good) respray. I remember seeing a similar one on Maranellos forecourt for *months*. It may in fact be the same car, over a year on. You could find out how long it's been sitting around by checking the date of the last change of (non-dealer) owner. Alternatively, ring around a few dealers for part-ex value/resale of 'your' verde whatever 355 spider on an R plate.

Have you driven a 355 yet Stuh? I'm sure you know it's a step down in performance from your M12.

Drove one 4 or 5 years ago, it seemed quick then (when ragged) but yes i relaise it will be considerably slower than my current M12 and way off the M400 which is the current favourite replacement.

Basically i've narrowed it down to a choice of:

M400 - Blisteringly Quick, new, but another depreciation hit. Plus my current M12 has cost a bomb in servicing.

996 TT - Quick, reliable, good over the winter BUT residuals could suffer after 997 and hard to find a good X50 at sensible money and a bit bland and common.

355 Spyder - Noise, character, good residuals, open air motoring but lack of performance.
