The kitten was at the vets last week as he had a runny eye, was given some drops and it's sorted itself out nicely, but now he is sneezing an awful lot, not an hour goes by without hearing him having a few sneezes. His nose is nice and clean and dry, no mucus or anything so not really sure what to do, vet or not?

It doesn't seem to bother him but obviously it's not quite right...

Hmmmm mine sneeze every now & then, proper little sneezing fits - so cute!

But nothing like that. Most Vets are happy to advise over the phone if they think you need to bring them in or not

One of ours had that a couple of weeks ago - she had a runny nose, and was sneezing often (usually on me!). She was otherwise OK - running around as usual, and eating OK. My sister's a vet and checked her over, and said it was nothing to worry about - just a cat cold, and it cleared up naturally after a week or so.

yeah it's a difficult one, I have no issue taking my pets pets to the vet when required but lets face it it's not the cheapest of things, and sneezing isn't really abnormal LOL

will leave him over the weekend and monitor just how much he is sneezing!

and yes, he usually climbs up on me and does it right in my face too laugh

Actually sneezing esp excessive is abnormal in animals. It sounds viral esp as runny eye. How old is the kitten? If it doesn't get worse and clears then it should be fine, as long as kitten stays bright and eating.

If any discharge or lethargy get seen sooner rather than later. Few common viruses that may need tx are cat flu underlying causes being calici virus or herpes virus. Many cats carry these viruses with no real issues but others can suffer quite a lot because of them.

My adult Maine coon is just about to start very expensive tx to try and alleviate the symptoms of said viruses!
