That looks a bit OTT but I assure you the same finish in matt black nappa leather with light grey stitching looks amazing.

The more i read this place the more convinced i am that some would be perfectly happy if it was made illegal to have a car in any other colour scheme the metallic grey with black leather

Can look great actually. Pictures don't do it justice. And not very common.

Looks quite nice. Not saying I would pay more for it, but so many TTs have the black / black colour combination that this one stands out a bit and the quality looks good.

Looks very 50's but with a modern twist, change the wheels and I think it would be quite nice as a weekend car

Although in this instance you do know that if the handicap stitching option were cheaper than sensible stitching then no one would have ever chosen it. wink

Does that make a gayers car more gay or just kinky?

It was the option on the car that VBH had when she reviewed it initially on TG.

I really like those seats and wanted them when I bought a TT. Stayed with black but wish I hadn't. I'd probably want the steering wheel in black.

It's not just here - it's society in general. frown

Look around you on the roads and it's an almost unbroken procession of dullness. Grey, silver, dark blue, black.... I absolutely loathe it. irked Personally, I reckon it's the biggest single factor in the rapid increase in cases of depression over the last couple of decades!

I've got an S-Max on order as a company car at the moment, so when speccing that, I looked at the colour options. The interior colour choice was black or, er, that's it. Just black. On the exterior colours, there were about 9 varying shades of depression that you could barely tell apart, plus Cherry Red and white. The difference in purchase price between all of these various options is no more than £200.

To spec the car in red would've cost me an additional £36 per month over the 4 year lease term!! yikes

That's over £1,700 more expensive, and the only possible reason is the lease company calculation on residual values.

Personally, I just can't believe that everyone really wants these horrible, depressing colours. It seems to just be a never-ending circle of people thinking that's what they need to buy to keep good residual values at each step of the chain.

It would be interesting to know if insurance premiums are higher for grey cars? Given their near invisibility in murky conditions when they are driven by that subset of the population who take the view of "I can see you, so I don't need my lights on", I would imagine they have an increased accident risk?
