Morning folks,

For the past few months I've been following this routine;

http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/dumbbell...

I've made decent progress with it, but am now looking for a bit of variety as its getting a bit samey now.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a different routine? Looking to build muscle, dim bells are adjustable, and I have access to an adjustable bench too.

confused If it's working, why change it? If it's boring, increase the mass.

I'm probably the last person to give advice on weight lifting ( wink ) but...

Monday
Dumbbell Squat -> Bulgarian Squats
Dumbbell Bench Press -> keep; go much heavier
One Arm Dumbbell Row -> keep; hits biceps, too, if you do it right
Standing Dumbbell Curl -> chin ups (not pull ups)
Two Arm Seated Dumbbell Extension -> drop; you pushed your triceps with bench presses if you went heavy enough
Sit Up -> hanging toe to bar leg raises or seated leg raises if can't manage former

Wednesday
Dumbbell Step Up -> lunges (well, I'd do Bulgarian Squats again)
Dumbbell Stiff Leg Deadlift -> keep; awesome exercise
Seated Dumbbell Press -> keep
Standing One Leg Dumbbell Calf Raise -> keep
Dumbbell Shrug -> keep but go much heavier; you'll be surprised how much you can shrug
Dumbbell Side Bends -> hanging toe to bar open-leg raises or seated open-leg raises if can't manage former

Friday
Dumbbell Lunge -> Bulgarian Squats!
Dumbbell Floor Press -> confused do bench press unless you have shoulder problems
Wide Grip Pull Up -> add a weight belt or hold db between ankles; or 3 sets to failure; or fully straight arm to chin above bar (ie a proper pull up)
Standing Hammer Curl -> chin ups (not pull ups)
Lying Dumbbell Extension -> bench heavier!!
Lying Floor Leg Raise -> ok, sounds like you should have a decent enough core to do toe-to-bar leg raises http://youtu.be/Ry43h-eBlT4

Also, if it's a beginner routine, you could probably just repeat the exercises twice a week (Mondays and Thursday, and drop the focused stuff like bicep curls and tricep extensions):

Here's what I'd do and the order I'd do it in:
Dumbbell Bench Press
Seated Dumbbell Press
Bulgarian Squats
Dumbbell Stiff Leg Deadlift
One Arm Dumbbell Row
Dumbbell Shrug
Wide Grip Pull Up
Toe-to-bar Leg Raises

My strength continues to grow.

Some nice exercises.
Manmakers are fun.

you can add/reduce the complexity of it as you see fit.
Snatches, cleans, jerks, overhead squats. Try out some of them.
